The hanky or handkerchief code is a system of using color coded bandanas to flag what you’re in to, along with your role. Depending on which side of your body (usually your back pants pocket) the specific color hanky is, can give information as to whether you are top/active or bottom/passive

The meanings:

Black – Sadism&Masochism
Dark Blue – Anal sex
Light Blue – Oral sex
Brown – Scat
Grey – Bondage
Orange – Anything goes
Purple – Piercing
Red – Fisting
Yellow – Pissing

There are several others, but the hanky code is somewhat loose in interpretation. The above are the most used colors.
